Essential Peace

Image
Hey Pumpkins! So in the last post, we spoke about essential oils, and one of you asked if I could talk about a blend. As we previously spoke about Peaceful Tea, I thought to myself "why not do a peaceful oil blend?". So that's what we are talking about today!!!! As we have spoken about, essential oils have many uses. One of these uses is having a calming and uplifting effect on the body. How can we use it?  Our peaceful blend can be used in multiple ways we spoke about in the Essential Oils post. My favorite, however, is always to use my diffuser, but this is just my preference and everyone is different. What are our chosen oils?  Peppermint, Lavender, and Lemon  Peppermint is fantastic for sharpening the mind and calming nerves, clearing out thoughts, and increasing energy levels and focus. In other words... Let's get rid of that brain fog! Lavender is always a good one for relaxing, destressing, and refreshing your body. The smell passes over you like a wave takin...

Essential Oils

Image
Hey Pumpkins!!!! So, today we will be talking about essential oils. What they are and what they can be used for. I love them so much! According to Google: Essential oils: a natural oil typically obtained through distillation. A characteristic odor extracted from the plant. (side note: I like to refer to the Google definition purely because it provides a straight and simple explanation.) What are essential oils? What are they? Well...awesome! Incredible! Fantastic! Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds extracted from a plant. Many MANY plants are used as essential oils, such as Lavender; Cedarwood; Cardommon; Pine; etc. Essential oils can come from flowers, roots, resins, fruit rinds, and nearly any part of the plant.  How are essential oils made? The most common way of making essential oils is by distillation (by steam or water) or mechanical methods (like cold methods). The purpose is to extract aromatic oils and volatile oils. Distillation:  Although there are ...

Herbal Medicine vs Orthodox Medicine

Image
Hey, Pumpkins! A few people have asked me what the differences are between Herbal Medication and Orthodox Medication. So here it is! According to Google: Herbal medicine: "remedies and medicines made from plants" Orthodox Medicine: " a system in which medical doctors or other healthcare professionals treat symptoms or diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery," Let's start with Orthodox Medication: Orthodox Medicines are the drugs you get at your average pharmacy. Prescription drugs, not fun drugs. these are the (mostly chemically made) lab drugs. Orthodox Medication became most popular during the 19th century. This medication has saved many lives and should not be dismissed, although there are often better options. Orthodox Medication can often lead to other side effects which then need to be treated with more medication. Then you end up with your own pharmacy in your bedroom. (like I have) Herbal Medication: HERBS ARE LIFE!!!! Literally and Metaphorically....

Hey Pumpkins! I know it's been forever, life has been so crazy!!!! We all have those times when everything is madness and overwhelming, so I thought.....I would share a recipe for a carminative peace tea! (I hope you are NEARLY as excited as I am) Tea is an excellent way to relax your mind, body, and spirit. Of course, it works best when the right herbs are used, but drinking tea is always the goal. The herbs we will be using today are Lemon Balm; Lavender; and Chamomile. These herbs, in general, are super duper good for you, part of their excellence is a calming effect. Let's take a walk through them: Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) : This baby is a member of the mint family and is grown worldwide. One of her most traditional uses is mood improvement, which makes her perfect for our Peace Tea! Lemon Balm reduces stress and anxiety, making you more relaxed, and resulting in a better mood. We all know how stress can bring us down. ( Side note : another plus is that she helps ...

Connecting with your Inner Child

Image
Hey Pumpkins! Yes, I know it's been a while. Things have been crazy busy. Today we will be talking about connecting with your Inner Child, lets's get started! I guess the best place to start is the question "What is your Inner Child?" Well, your inner child, put simply, is the child inside of you. This Inner Child is born from your childhood. Yes, it's pretty much in the name. Your Inner Child is a powerful part of your spiritual self. It is the part of you that lives young and needs love and attention. Your childhood is the start of your future and the story of your past, hence the importance of connecting with your Inner Child. Your first few years of life have a huge impact on who you are and what choices you make in your life.  Your basic emotions, sensitivity, and creativity are the basis of your Inner Child and are often suppressed in your adult life. SO SAD :(  Connecting with your Inner Child 1) Stop suppressing your actions: Don't ignore your instin...

The 12 Universal Laws (Part 2)

Image
Goodmorning Pumpkins!!!! I am back to give you part two of The 12 Universal Laws! Let's get right into it and not allow me to rant about how annoying retrogrades can be... If you have not seen part one please go ahead and take a look at it here! 7)   Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy  This is not as complicated as it sounds, it simply means we have more power than we realize. This is a HUGE  part of manifestation, you have the power to make the change, and all you have to do is choose to. You can turn negative energy into positive energy. You can turn low vibrations into high vibrations. Baby, if you put your mind to it, you can do anything.   8) Law of Compensation Yes, Joey, it is pretty much all about having and giving and sharing and receiving. But I guess there is a little more to it. Basically, what you give and share will be compensated. You get what you give right? That's pretty much it, I think... 9) Law of Relativity  Everything happens f...

The 12 Universal Laws (Part 1)

Hey Pumpkins!! I know, I know...I haven't been around for a while but here is some awesome info to make up for it!!! The Law of Attraction, you've heard of that right? Well, have you heard of the other 11 universal laws? Yep, there are 12! (I will be splitting them into 2 pages of 6 to avoid overwhelming you <3) Law of Energy; Law of Rhythm; Law of Action; Law of Oneness; Law of Gender; Law of Polarity; Law of Relativity; Law of Transmutation; Law of Compensation; Law of Cause and Effect; Law of Attraction; Law of Correspondence. Yep, it's a lot to take in but I shall break it down for you.  1) Law of Oneness Everything in the universe is connected through energy. Everything is made of energy. Therefore,          everything we say and do, everything we think and believe will have an effect, not only on us but on others and on the universe.   2) Law of Vibration Everything around us is constantly moving due to vibration, including us. Everything...
