Hey, Pumpkins! The 7 Hermetic Principles. We have covered what they are and the first 3 Principles in the previous post. If you have not yet seen this, I highly suggest you run off and read that one first. For now.....Let's jump in!

4. The Principle of Polarity
"Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." - The Kybalion
5. The Principle of Rhythm
"Everything floats, out and in; everything has its tide; all things rise and fall; the pendulum swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." - The Kybalion
As you may have noticed, each principle is seen to relate back to the previous principle. Based on this, we know that The Principle of Rhythm relates back to The Principle of Polarity. Looking around you, wherever you may be, you can see that everything has a rhythm. We know that nature has its seasons, but many may not know that we too, in a form, have seasons.
The Principle of Rhythm helps us understand the patterns and rhythms of the world. By identifying these we can use them to work with us, rather than trying to work against these rhythms.
6. The Principle of Cause and Effect
"Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; chance is but a name for law not recognized; there are many lines of causation, but nothing escapes the law." - The Kybalion
Everything we do, everything that happens, will have an effect. Simply, every cause has an effect. As we know through manifestation, our thoughts (the cause) can reflect in the physical world (the effect).
The Principle of Cause and Effect allows us to change our world and outlook by dealing with events and emotions in a healthy way. We are able to look at the effect, find the course, and discover a true understanding of the world around us.
